Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has experienced a challenging year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and eventually separating with long-term coach Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of that year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has secured 21 championships at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters together, so to secure a title is particularly special," commented world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my child her name, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his last six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led some to question if his ability to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the player has altered his approach in the past month, striving to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
He recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the following set before the challenger, striving for his first professional victory, seized the initiative to create a final set.
Moutet saved four early opportunities in a tight third set before the Russian secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he earned the win with a point at the net, with the Frenchman failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
