Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
