The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per the DM, the warrior group is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

First, the party knows exactly where to head next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—used the foes for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires retribution.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their position as important members in House Halovar could enable the team enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to travel to the remote area in search of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Seekers and Planners groups.

Fans can expect discovering which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
